Implementation of systems in the healthcare industry is often complex and comes with requirements that move well beyond just the technical specifications. TraceIT was designed to trace all system and operational requirements through the system design and development lifecycle and provide visibility to the requirements through each phase of this process. Once the system is implemented, TraceIT can be utilized as a CMS certification tool that provides traceability from each CMS certification checklist item to each requirement that supports that checklist item.
TraceIT is an integrated support tool that helps to shorten the development lifecycle through the employment of standardized and organized development lifecycle processes, improve the project quality by enforcing data integrity and process consistency for each lifecycle phase, and assist with CMS Certification by linking all requirements to the CMS Certification Checklist items required for certification.
TraceIT saves time and mitigates the risk of costly overruns or requirement missteps. It integrates requirement, design, operational readiness, defect and test tracking across the development lifecycle.
Requirements Tracking
All client requirements are assigned attributes and loaded into a database. New requirements can be added and tracked at anytime during the development process through a simple online interface. Comprehensive reports track status at any point-in-time with built-in approval and change management processes. All requirements and related elements are completely searchable.
Design Tracking
GSD & DSD design and development methodology is fully supported in TraceIT. Through a set of identifiable design objects, each are linked to all Requirements. Business Rules, Error messages, Screen/Report definitions, and data elements are also defined and linked with comprehensive reporting that trace the links between design objects and supported requirements with detailed statistics to allow for efficient project management through completion.
Test Tracking
TraceIT supports all Test Cases, Test Scripts, and Test Results at the Unit Test, Systems Test, and UAT levels. Every test component is linked to ensure traceability to each design object and all related systems and subsystems, including integrated systems. Further, each test component is linked to a specific test release, a specific testable component, or a specific requirement. Over 50 testing reports are currently available in TraceIT.
Operational Readiness Tracking
The operational readiness schedule is created online and linked to DSD objects by subsystem and schedule line item. Tracking is provided by job type (Batch, online, report, etc) and frequency (Daily, weekly, monthly, ad hoc, etc.). Several Ops readiness reports are currently available.
Defect Tracking
Defects are logged and tracked and linked to the appropriate design objects. A defects audit log provides complete visibility and an audit trail of each “state” of the defect, until the defect has been resolved, retested, and accepted by the customer. All defects are searchable by any associated element within the system.
Change Logs Affecting Project Scope
TraceIT tracks all system related change logs and links these change logs to each design object or to specific requirements. Change logs are searchable by any related criteria that allows for easy identification of changes for project tracking and billing.
